Version VII
This layout was made by both me and my boyfriend, Tony. (The sucky parts of the layout are mine). I pretty much made the main part of the layout, although he Googled a love letter image for the background, because he seems to enjoy having those types of backgrounds. All the effects of the layout were made by him, because he is so much better than I am at Photoshop. Shortly after the main image was made, he rebooted his computer and didn't reinstall Photoshop, so that's why the word 'Memoirs' doesn't really match =/ I coded the site.

Final year of high school

School starts for me on Tuesday - my final year of high school. Although a lot of people I know are really excited, I'm really sad and overwhelmed by it all. I can't believe that I'm going to graduate from high school this year, then go to school for many more years and have a career and so forth. I really don't want to leave the comforts of high school, where you could get one on one help and don't have to pay for your courses and such.

I remember when I was in grade nine, my Biology teacher told me that high school is the last place you're ever going to be treated fairly, because, when you leave high school, people can judge you and nothing is impartial anymore.

For the past hour or so, I've been on the UBC website, looking up admission requirements, fees, and scholarships and writing important dates in my calendar. Then, it hit me. What if I don't want to be a doctor anymore? Sure, I want to study medicine and help cure sickness, but the amount of time and the amount of money I need is so much. So, I decided to, just for the heck of it, go onto the University of Cambridge website. I don't really know why, except that I saw a poster of it in the counsellors' office. Then, I thought, Why don't I study English Literature since I love English so much? *Sigh* I'm just confusing myself right now =/

I've made several goals for myself this year: to maintain good grades, join the Grad Council, join Student Council, join Harmony in Action, and show leadership. Unfortunately, all these things are going to take up a lot of my time and it'll probably take up all of the little life I possess right now.

I know this post is kind of random - as most of mine are -, but I've just been so confused lately, I don't know what to do anymore. I'm questioning my choices as to whether I should study this or that, go here or there, move out or live with my parents after high school, and et cetera. On top of that, I have to really keep up my grades in order to be more qualified for scholarships, which are about the only mean I have of paying for post secondary education. My boyfriend keeps telling me to stop worrying and focus only on the present now. But I can't help it. I've always been one to think ahead and worry about even the tiniest detail.

Anyway, I'm getting really sick of looking at this layout, so I'll try to get another layout up soon, but no promises.

PNE

Yesterday, I went to the Pacific National Exhibition with my boyfriend and some friends =) Unfortunately, it was, like, 34 degrees Celsius =/ We went on a whole bunch of rides, but the lines were kinda long and it wasn't exactly pleasant waiting in the burning sun. My boyfriend and I got so obsessed with the Crazy Beach Party ride, so we went on that a bunch of times. We were waiting in line for the Water Log ride, but the wait was about forty five minutes and it just got so hot, we decided to sit on grass instead and I sort of took a power nap =)

Some of my boyfriend's friends worked at the PNE, so we were able to get some teddy bears - I got five, but we did play for most of them. Last year, we sucked so much at the birthday game (where you put two dollars on a month of the year (as many as you want - two dollars each) plus New Year's and Christmas), but, this year, we won on our first try and I ended up with a giant beige teddy bear.

It was so much fun yesterday, except for the heat, which was horrible =( There were fireworks at 10:30pm, but my friends got tired, so we just decided to go home. I didn't get my corndog and we couldn't find the Ferris Wheel, which is weird =S
